LARISA'S COLOR FORECAST
There’s a definite duality going on this spring, and Larisa has her finger on the pulse of these the trends. Here, the details on her predictions:
Unexpected bold tones: “I’m seeing people try out vivid tones more than ever,” says Larisa, who explains that these intense looks have a unique new twist. “Instead of doing more typical shades -- like purple and pink – you can expect to see people go out of their comfort zone and confidently try colors they haven’t dabbled in before.”
Unique color combos: “I’m also predicting vivid tones you normally wouldn’t place together -- for example, coral with a deep forest green,” explains Larisa. “Surprisingly, they complement each other in such a beautiful contrasting way.”
Soft, natural blends: According to Larisa, when it comes to natural looks, colorists will be stepping away from thick money pieces and creating softer, more blended hair color. “Mixing a gold, buttery, bright blonde with a medium rich chocolate lowlight will break up the color and add a softness to the overall look,” she says.
“Thick-and-thin” mixes: “For techniques, we’ll be seeing less bold placement, and more examples of softly blended highlights and lowlights. You might, for example, mix Babylights in between slices to break up the boldness and add a more blended vibe.”
