“This color was inspired by my client’s skin tone – her natural dark complexion, and her natural dark brunette hair color. The goal was to bring softness and dimension around the face to enhance her beautiful features.”

“Given that we used color to “lighten” her base — and because she wears her hair naturally curly most of the time — she can let her root grow for a while before she touches it up,” explains Mai, who instructed her client to come back to the salon in 10 – 12 weeks for a gloss, that will maintain the shine and tone. “This will keep the color looking fresh. Depending on how fast her hair grows, she can also come back to the salon every 6 – 8 weeks for a root touch up,” says Mai.
